Kathryn Maxfield:
AOCAD—Graphic Recorder, Illustrator & Fine Artist

 

Kathryn brings her many years of experience as a fine artist, graphic designer, illustrator and entrepreneur to her work as a graphic recorder. Since 2001, Kathryn has been part of thousands of collaborative sessions, working with a variety of corporate and non-profit companies across North America, Europe and Australia. In workshops, meetings, brainstorming sessions, and live speaker events, Kathryn captures & synthesizes thoughts and ideas with bright coloured markers, (+ now online/virtually too!) in large format real-time illustration. This dynamic visual note taking increases participant engagement, communicates ideas and creates beautiful lasting summaries of events.

 

In addition to her real-time scribing work, Kathryn brings varied design services to clientele including development of visual communication materials and traditional illustration.

 

Prior to her collaborative team work experience with leading business organizations, Kathryn co-founded a fine pastry & chocolate retail store & production kitchen in Toronto, producing the highest quality desserts, chocolates & fine, packaged food gift items for retail and wholesale distribution, & national catalogue sales.

 

Kathryn graduated from The Ontario College of Art & Design studying design, printmaking, drawing painting & papermaking. When not drawing professionally, Kathryn is busy doodling, drawinpainting and cooking with her children, leading art workshops in Toronto classrooms and serving on various cooperative and school committees to promote a life-long love for the arts and beautify our city and our lives.
